Role Overview:

We are looking for a Credentialing Coordinator to join our team in ensuring clinicians are fully credentialed in a timely manner.  Quality patient care is our top priority.  Having the ability to work efficiently on a team, in a fast-paced environment where patients come first is critical.   

Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00/hour commensurate with experience

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the credentialing process by entering/logging/scanning information into credentialing system for initial, updated, and maintenance processes 

  • Maintain copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage, and any other required credentialing documents for all providers 

  • Provide assistance with collection and processing significant amounts of verification and accreditation information from providers 

  • Submitting credentialing and re-credentialing applications via electronic/hard copy 

  • Responsible for credentialing and maintaining high quality and accurate information for new and established healthcare providers in a timely manner. This will include primary source verification, data collection, data entry, and document review 

  • Communicate with providers, insurance companies, and MCO’s 

  • Maintain, update, and organize all physical/electronic provider files 

  • Other duties as requested 

Skills & Experience:

  • 1+ year of administrative experience working in a medical office setting

  • Strong customer service experience  

  • Strong computer skills required especially with Microsoft Office, Adobe Reader, and PDF applications

  • Prior experience utilizing MDStaff is preferred 

  • Flexible and adaptable in learning and understanding new technologies 

  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented, problem solver 

  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills 

  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks 

  • Ability to work independently and proactively
