Role Overview:
We are looking for a Credentialing Coordinator to join our team in ensuring clinicians are fully credentialed in a timely manner. Quality patient care is our top priority. Having the ability to work efficiently on a team, in a fast-paced environment where patients come first is critical.
Compensation: $20.00 - $25.00/hour commensurate with experience
Responsibilities:
Assist in the credentialing process by entering/logging/scanning information into credentialing system for initial, updated, and maintenance processes
Maintain copies of current state licenses, DEA certificates, malpractice coverage, and any other required credentialing documents for all providers
Provide assistance with collection and processing significant amounts of verification and accreditation information from providers
Submitting credentialing and re-credentialing applications via electronic/hard copy
Responsible for credentialing and maintaining high quality and accurate information for new and established healthcare providers in a timely manner. This will include primary source verification, data collection, data entry, and document review
Communicate with providers, insurance companies, and MCO’s
Maintain, update, and organize all physical/electronic provider files
Other duties as requested
Skills & Experience:
1+ year of administrative experience working in a medical office setting
Strong customer service experience
Strong computer skills required especially with Microsoft Office, Adobe Reader, and PDF applications
Prior experience utilizing MDStaff is preferred
Flexible and adaptable in learning and understanding new technologies
Highly analytical and detail-oriented, problem solver
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks
Ability to work independently and proactively
