- Problem-solving skills for debugging issues within the large-scale codebase and across different teams’ workflows.
- Coordination with the Canvas team to understand platform limitations and possibilities, and close collaboration with the content management team.
- Version control and working with smaller, module-specific repositories for CSS updates, managed separately from the main codebase.
- Version control and working within a monorepo setup.
- This role involves working closely with Design partners to quickly brainstorm, prototype, develop, and deploy innovative animated experiences.
- Passion for creative iteration, partnership and a sensitivity for achieving pixel perfect, elegant design.
- Translate prototypes to high quality, scalable, and maintainable production code through iterative development.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

- Familiarity with Canvas (which you’ll learn from docs at Airbnb), particularly with applying custom CSS to meet specific design needs.
Creatively driven technologist who enjoys the process of bringing designs to life through animations and finessing. Understanding of performance best practices, including minimizing load times, optimizing images, reducing JavaScript bundles, and leveraging caching strategies.
- Basic familiarity with Jest for unit and integration testing to ensure stability and reliability in the codebase.
- Ability to interpret and write simple tests, debug failing tests, and understand how tests integrate with the build process.
