BRIEF DESCRIPTION
The Covenant Monitoring Analyst provides outstanding customer service and specialized technical assistance for a variety of underwriting functions that include actively monitoring upcoming and past due loan covenant reports to ensure timely submission of required information. The Covenant Monitoring Analyst is responsible for monitoring an assigned portfolio, maintaining data integrity of loan covenants, creating, validating, and maintaining loan covenants in the Association’s loan origination system. The Covenant Monitoring Analyst should possess a basic understanding of negative and affirmative loan covenants. This role requires some independent decision-making skills and will occasionally contribute to the management and execution of underwriting/covenant projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Proactively monitors the upcoming and past due covenant reports of the assigned portfolio to ensure timely submission of required information per Association procedure.
Communicates effectively, both verbally and written, with internal and external customers regarding the ongoing covenant compliance of existing accounts.
Processes covenant information following standard naming convention and procedure within the Association’s electronic file system and loan origination system.
Reviews loan documentation to validate that loan covenants are accurately reflected in the Association’s loan origination system.
Occasionally creates loan covenants in the Association’s loan origination system on a pre-close and post-close basis.
Assists with data integrity projects and actively participates in deal team calls for assigned portfolio.
Occasionally, and with assistance, analyzes existing accounts’ ongoing covenant compliance performance through review, validation, reconciliation, and trending of borrowing base certificates and tested financial covenants.
Perform other duties as assigned.
LEVELS OF SUPERVISION EXERCISED AND RECEIVED
Exercises no supervision; makes some independent decisions; works under the general supervision of the Covenant Monitoring Leader or designee.
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma is required, least two years of post-high school education is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to generate highly accurate work and make independent decisions is required.
Self-starting approach to work, great attention to detail, and pride in accurate work is required.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team setting.
Strong organization and prioritization skills is required to thrive in our fast-paced environment.
General knowledge of agriculture and/or agribusiness is preferred.
Minimum two (2) years previous work/internship experience with a customer facing role is preferred .
Knowledge of accounting principles, banking policies, procedures, and processes is preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite programs.
Strong collaboration and communication skills. Must have the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and written.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to perform basic office tasks and work in a typical office setting. Employees will be sitting for extended periods of time and accomplishing work at a desk and a computer for an extended period. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills to adequately convey ideas and work well within a team. The ability to talk and hear, sit, and use their hands and fingers, and reach in all directions is essential in the performance of the job. Some lifting and moving of items up to 25 pounds is required. Work during established business hours and may require occasional weekend and/or evening work. Travel may be required.
FULL-TIME REMOTE: These roles and job functions can be done remotely, while maintaining our strong commitment to customer service and our business goals. Employees are welcome to come to an office to work if needed, and some travel for team meetings will be required.PAY RANGE:
Minimum $51,491.95 - Max $77,237.92 AnnualThis range is reflective of the national salary average for this position and will be adjusted using geographic variance for physical location of the hired candidate. American AgCredit may compensate outside of the salary range for bona fide reasons not related to membership in a protected class.
Reflected is the national base pay range and title offered for this job at the current level.
Compensation, title, and job level may be adjusted based on candidate qualifications including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location.
Salary offered, within the applicable range, is one component of the total rewards package offered to candidates.
