Counsel - Privacy

The ideal candidate will be in central Ohio, however the team is open to this role being a remote/work from home position. Privacy experience in Financial Services is Preferred!

 

*The ideal candidate will have the preferred experience and skills below:

1) Substantive data protection and data privacy experience, and in-depth knowledge of U.S. privacy laws (e.g., CCPA, CPRA, GLBA, TCPA). Experience with GDPR a plus. 

2) Experience implementing the intricacies of US privacy laws, particularly in financial services or another highly regulated industry.

3) Experience providing legal advice and guidance regarding privacy compliance, privacy impact assessments, development of privacy frameworks, development of safeguards, and other related matters.

4) Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally with non-lawyers.

5) High comfort level with technology, and an understanding of how privacy laws impact, and are impacted by, technology. 

6) A data privacy certification (e.g., CIPP/US) would be ideal.
