Cost Modeler (Remote and Hybrid Eligible)

As a Cost Modeler, your primary responsibility would be to analyze and estimate the cost of projects and products. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to determine the cost of materials, labor, and other expenses involved in bringing a project to completion. One of your key tasks will be to produce a detailed Average Procurement Unit Cost (APUC) cost model. This will involve using various tools and techniques to analyze data and identify cost drivers, as well as working with suppliers and vendors to obtain accurate pricing information. Your cost model will be critical in ensuring that the project is completed within budget, and you will play a key role in identifying cost-saving opportunities and making recommendations to improve efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain APUC cost model
• Support program Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) deliverables such as cost models and technical datasheets;
• Substantiate results based on best practices and data driven conclusions.
• Work with the team to utilize cost model to make procurement decisions

Must-haves:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, or technical related discipline
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
• Leadership abilities inclusive of successful change management, mentoring, career development, training, succession planning, holding people accountable, and conducting yearly reviews
• Requires ability to manage complex situations, delegate authority, lead and inspire your team, drive innovative thinking, instill collaboration, drive for success, challenge status quo, and demonstrate the ability to adapt to dynamic situations 
• Requires skills in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, strategic thinking, marketing, and literacy in the program management disciplines. 
• Experience with the evaluation of requests for proposals and/or quotes. Experience with preparing, reviewing, and submitting proposals and/or quotes. 
• Knowledge of OSD CAPE (Cost Assessment & Program Evaluation) processes
• Passion for organizing ambiguity, self-motivated, self-starter

Preferred:

• Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in Engineering, Finance, or related field) and minimum 3 years, or a Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years, of prior relevant experience in management and/or cost estimating. In lieu of a degree, a minimum of 5 years of prior related experience

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $104,827.91 - $144,138.38. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.

SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
