The Leidos Corporate Earned Value Management (EVM) Center of Excellence (COE) is seeking a Project Planning and EVM intern.  The position is on the Corporate EVM COE team implementing and executing the core responsibilities of EVM and scheduling across the enterprise and a broad range of areas for which it is responsible.

The selected candidate will work with Senior Managers of the EVM COE and team members to support various project planning and cost integration-related activities. This is a great opportunity for a college student with technical education (e.g., engineering, computer science) to learn about the planning, scheduling, and cost integration aspects essential to enabling technical solutions to become successful.

This position may also interface with task and functional leaders, to include web page development, EVM Lite process implementation, and personnel support.

A successful candidate will:
•Assist more senior-level specialists and managers in their activities that are technical in nature
•Complete tasks individually and/or as a team participant
•Seek guidance when needed but requires moderate guidance and direction
•Follow established processes and checklists and create additional ones with the support of more experienced team members

Primary Responsibilities

•A key role in supporting the evolution of the planning and cost integration practices
•Document the specific changes needed to evolve the associated practices
•Provide this feedback to the tool, process, or people owners of the associated solutions to aid in championing consistent practices and process improvement across the company
•Aid in incorporating these practices into our overall planning and scheduling practices as part of our effort to better align all EVM COE solutions
• Identifies, defines, and addresses problems that are not immediately evident but typically not complex. Problems are typically within a narrow scope and are solved through drawing from prior experiences or standard procedures and basic analysis.

• Communicate with peers to explain facts, basic analysis, processes, and practices related to the area.

• Requires limited use and/or application of basic principles, theories, and concepts. Utilizes limited knowledge of industry practices and standards.

Basic Qualifications

•Actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a science, technology, engineering, or match-related degree
•Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
•Highly motivated with a desire to learn
•Excellent analytical skills
•Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
•U.S. Citizenship is required

                                                                                                             

Preferred Qualifications

•Have a basic understanding of Earned Value Management guidelines and project planning-related standards, best practices, and skillsets.

Pay Range:

Pay Range $39,650.00 - $71,675.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
