Job Description SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and proactive Corporate EHS Manager to support and enhance our Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) efforts across North America. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and be able to drive impactful change within a collaborative environment. The Corporate EHS Manager will play a key role in helping to develop, implement and support our Corporate EHS Management System, working closely with diverse stakeholders to achieve transformative solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience in supporting large-scale EHS programs at the corporate level and possess strong leadership skills to foster a culture of safety excellence. Key Responsibilities:

  • EHS Management System: Champion Corporate EHS efforts, focusing on high-risk areas such as Electrical Safety (NFPA 70E), Lockout/Tagout, Participatory Ergonomics, and Vehicle Safety.
  • Subject Matter Expert (SME):  Help lead and coordinate technical reviews and updating of Corporate EHS Programs, while Providing guidance and strategic support to regional EHS teams and operations.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Engage with clients and site operators to assess compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Regulatory and Industry Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to drive continuous improvement in EHS programs.
  • Contractor Management: Oversee and manage the company’s contractor vetting processes , including Avetta, ISNetworld, and internal systems, ensuring compliance with EHS standards.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Build and maintain strong, collaborative working relationships with regional EHS and Operation leadership while providing regular communication to ensure alignment between EHS programs and organizational goals.
  • Safety Improvement Plans: Support and oversee the development and continuous improvement of select regional Safety Improvement Plans (SIPs) across business portfolios.
  • Crisis Management Support: Participate in the Company Crisis Management Program that includes support of communication methods and utilization of platforms such as Alert Media .
  • Safety Culture Champion: Support initiatives to promote a culture of safety excellence, including conducting corporate safety audits and behavior-based safety assessments at work sites.
  • Reporting and Updates: Prepare and present program update reports to senior management on EHS projects and initiatives.
  • Incident Review: Participate in reviews of injury/illness incidents, including Serious Injuries and Fatalities (SIFs).
  • EHS Project Management: Oversee select EHS projects, ensuring alignment with the company’s long-term goals and the effective management of multiple priorities.
  • Experience with Fleet Safety and the MVR check process a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, or a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years of comprehensive EHS program management experience, including knowledge of regulations, standards, and best practices in OHS.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel up to 30% across North America.
  • Certifications: CSP (Certified Safety Professional) and/or PMP (Project Management Professional) certification preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational, IT, and information management skills.
    • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills to influence and build relationships at all levels of the organization.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly.
    • Proven ability to manage EHS projects across multiple sites and navigate conflicting priorities.
    • Crisis and emergency management expertise with the ability to lead and communicate during high-pressure situations.
    • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
    • Ability to apply local legislation and industry standards to diverse work environments.

Working Conditions:

  • Travel up to 30%.
  • Primarily office-based with the option to work from a company office location, depending on feasibility.

The compensation that will be offered to the successful candidate will depend on factors such as whether the position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the geographic area in which the work will be performed, market pay rates in that area, and the candidate’s experience and qualifications.


The company will not pay less than minimum wage for this role.


The compensation for the position is: $89,250.00 - $105,000.00
