ROLE OVERVIEW  

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Corporate Controller to join our dynamic team. As a key member of the finance department, the Corporate Controller will oversee all financial activities and ensure the integrity of accounting and reporting processes. This role will include all aspects of preparing financial statements along with assisting in the assessment of financial strategy, financial performance, and supporting an effective internal and business controls environment that complies with regulatory standards and our SOX reporting requirements. 

COMPENSATION: $175,000 - $250,000/annually

This position is fully remote and can be performed anywhere within the United States.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Financial Reporting and Analysis: 

  • Oversee and ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). 

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including all key components of the financial statements. 

  • Provide insights into financial performance and trends to support decision-making by senior management. 

  • Internal & Business Controls and Compliance: 

  • Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. 

  • Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting, including annual audited financial statements and supporting various other reporting requirements, e.g. SEC public company, tax and other filings. 

  • Cash Management and Treasury: 

  • Monitor and manage cash flow, financial risk, and financial performance metrics. 

  • Support management of cash flow and liquidity to meet the organization's financial obligations. 

  • Financial Systems and Processes: 

  • Evaluate and improve financial processes and systems for efficiency and accuracy. 

  • Implement financial software solutions to streamline operations and reporting. 

  • Team Leadership and Development: 

  • Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development. 

  • Risk Management: 

  • Identify and mitigate financial risks that could impact the company's financial performance or reputation. 

  • Strategic Planning and Decision Support: 

  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making, financial planning, and budgeting processes. 

  • Collaborate with other departments to assess the financial impact of proposed projects or investments.
