    Job Description

    We are looking for a Core Video Engineer to join our team. Our ideal candidate will have comprehensive knowledge of DAC and EC environments working with Harmonic, Arris, and Cisco QAM devices. If you enjoy working with video transport methodologies and designs, this position could be a great fit for you! 

    This position is remote (in the U.S.), and will be a W-2 hourly engagement. 

    The hourly rate is $50 - $55. Candidates will be paid within this range based on their work experience and skills. Candidates are also eligible for limited benefits such as health insurance, professional development, trainings, our referral bonus program, and our wellness program.

    Responsibilities: 

    • Design and develop MPEG2 / MPEG4 video flow architectures.
    • Design and implement changes to various video encoding and transport devices to achieve the desired architecture.
    • Design and implement changes to the video acquisition and edge designs.
    • Design, build, launch, and verify new video flows from acquisition to edge device.
    • Investigate, troubleshoot, and drive to resolution any issues experienced or found in the video network before or after changes.
    • Create and maintain documentation to support changes to video network design.
    • Manage ticketing and approvals related to all work performed.
    • Schedule and coordinate with all external teams the work necessary to implement changes to the video network.
    • Create / Complete and distribute weekly project updates reflective of all work performed.

    Qualifications

    • Must have 3-5 years' experience configuring at least 1 of the devices mentioned.
    • Must have experience with DCM, DM6400, Prostream, and Drake devices.
    • Must have experience with Harmonic, Arris, and Cisco QAM devices.
    • Must have deep knowledge and understanding of video transport methodologies and designs.
    • Must understand MPEG2, MPEG4, ASI, H.264, and IP encoding and transport.
    • Must have experience working in a large, production environment.
    • Experience with ticketing systems (Remedy, Service Now, Jira).
    • Demonstrated ability to complete a project on time.
    • Create and deploy, manually or through automation, configurations for Encoders and QAMs. 
    • Migrate services from current EOL devices to new devices. Works as part of a team to complete project goals with no impact on customers.
