Expected Salary Range: $62,081.00 - $77,600.00 - $96,999.00

The Company
For nearly four decades, BCLC has delivered exceptional gambling entertainment for British Columbians. To fulfill our social purpose we have a vision to revolutionize gambling entertainment through engaging experiences that build and benefit communities. We operate national and provincial lotteries in partnership with 3500 retail partners, provide the games, technology & oversight to 37 brick & mortar casinos, and operate a safe secure and 100% legal online gambling presence PlayNow.com. In our recently completed fiscal year, BCLC generated a record $1.5 billion in net income to the Province of B.C. to support First Nations, host local governments, health care, education and community programs across the province.
The team
The People & Culture (P&C) team at BCLC is a trusted, passionate, hardworking, employee focused team of professionals developing and implementing people & culture strategies, programs, and practices across the business. We are the keepers of the culture, in guiding how we think, act, and interact as One BCLC focused on enabling our people to execute on our vision and purpose.
Our People Rewards and Wellness team is a small but mighty team within the broader People and Culture department. Our team leads and delivers programs including compensation, benefits, recognition, wellness, and safety. People Rewards and Wellness drive many of the programs that form our employee value proposition, so that we can retain and attract the talent needed to drive our business. We work closely with other parts of the P&C team and the broader business to deliver these programs, and so we focus on building strong, productive relationships across these teams. As a team we also like to have fun and try not to take ourselves too seriously, so if you enjoy watching Survivor, or getting out for a hike or a game of golf, this may be the team for you!
The role
Reporting to the Manager, People Rewards and Wellness, this role supports the People and Culture team in delivering the People Rewards & Wellness (PRW) programs that form a critical part of our Employee Value Proposition, including but not limited to benefits, pension, compensation, recognition, and safety programs.
The role will work collaboratively with other People and Culture teams, as well other BCLC departments and external stakeholders such as vendors/suppliers to deliver our PRW programs.
This role offers the opportunity to use your analytical, organizational and customer service skills to support a positive employee experience of our Employee Value Proposition and promote engagement and attraction of talent for BCLC. It also provides a wonderful opportunity to develop skills in diverse and important People and Culture program areas that will support your career development and advancement.
What you will accomplish
- Support the successful delivery of our People Rewards and Wellness programs which supports a positive employee experience of our Employee Value Proposition
- Work with stakeholders and employees across BCLC to build collaborative and rewarding relationships
- Apply your organizational and analytical skills to help make improvements in our processes to support efficient and effective program delivery
- Develop your knowledge and experience in core People Rewards programs which will support your career development.
Qualifications and skills
- Degree in Business Administration or related discipline or a two-year college diploma; 2-3 years recent, related experience, but an alternate combination of education, experience, and demonstrated skills may be considered.
- Good knowledge of and demonstrated experience in administrative work
- Demonstrated creativity and innovation in developing and creating processes and in designing orientation and education to support programs;
- Good analytical skills and data processing skills and knowledge;
- Able to act professionally and tactfully in stressful situations, meet deadlines and react positively to unusual or emergent situations;
- Highly organized with the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail;

It would be awesome if you also had
- Experience with HRMS systems, SuccessFactors and SAP preferred;
