About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Corporate Controller to help strengthen our financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. 

Reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer, this role will support financial reporting, technical accounting, and internal controls while driving process improvements to meet the company’s evolving needs. 

The ideal candidate has a strong background in corporate and revenue accounting, a problem-solving mindset, and a collaborative approach to leadership. Success in this role will come from balancing technical expertise with operational execution and cross-functional teamwork. This person will oversee financial close activities, support reporting efforts, enhance internal controls, and refine accounting policies to align with best practices. As the company grows, this leader will help scale financial operations and build a solid foundation for long-term success.

Scope of Responsibilities: 

  • Oversee financial close cycles and ensure timely, accurate reporting to key stakeholders.
  • Manage financial reporting processes, ensuring alignment with accounting principles and company policies.
  • Develop and oversee a strong internal control framework to ensure financial accuracy, risk mitigation, and compliance while optimizing efficiency
  • Oversee and guide teams managing key accounting functions, including corporate accounting, revenue recognition, payroll, equity management, and technical accounting.
  • Collaborate with business leaders and finance partners to enhance operational efficiencies and implement automation where feasible.
  • Drive transformation efforts to optimize processes, reduce inefficiencies, and improve financial accuracy.
  • Spearhead special projects that enhance financial systems, reporting capabilities, and compliance measures.
  • Serve as a key advisor to the Chief Accounting Officer, contributing to strategic financial initiatives and long-term planning.

Role Requirements: 

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including Big 4 public accounting and corporate experience in a high-growth environment.
  • CPA required; strong knowledge of US GAAP, SEC reporting, and SOX compliance.
  • Proven ability to lead external audits and drive financial reporting processes
  • Broad experience in managing financial records, period-end closing, regulatory and management reporting, complex accounting standards, and key operational workflows such as procurement, order-to-cash, compensation processing, and revenue recognition.
  • Strong systems expertise, including ERP platforms (NetSuite) and automation tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with a track record of scaling accounting functions in a fast-paced tech environment.

Compensation:

At Fetch, we offer competitive compensation packages to the exceptional folks we hire. The base salary range for this position is $263,000 - $301,075. We also offer all employees equity in Fetch, so that everyone can benefit from Fetch’s growth.
