Weā€™re looking for a Controller to build out our accounting team and function. This role reports to the Head of Finance.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Overseeing day-to-day accounting functions like A/P, A/R, collections, and general ledger activities; building systems to improve processesĀ 
  • Ensuring production of timely financial reporting, including managing monthly, quarterly, and annual statements and closing; building systems to improve processesĀ 
  • Implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with state and federal financial regulationsĀ 
  • Implementing best-in-class accounting systems such as NetSuite
  • Owning external audit processes, coordinating with auditors and regulators as needed
  • Managing, developing, motivating and retaining a high-performance accounting team

Ideal candidate has:

  • Total 8-10+ years of accounting experience, with:
  • Proven experience in managing day-to-day accounting operations and systems
  • Solid leadership skills, with a strong track record of hiring, developing and retaining top talentĀ 
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Bachelorā€™s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA required
  • Familiarity with SOX readiness and compliance requirements
  • A willingness to ā€œroll up your sleevesā€ and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success
  • Experience working in a rapidly evolving startup environmentĀ 
  • A desire to be a part of our mission to improve the U.S. healthcare system
