What you will do

As the Contracts Manager you will work under the supervision of Emergency Care Customer Solutions (ECCS), partnering closely the Legal Department and directly with the Emergency Care business and functional units on a broad range of matters including: drafting, editing and negotiating Sales contracts and proactively handling various transactional matters. This position will seek new ideas to expand the ECCS team’s footprint throughout the account and contract lifecycles. This process leader will also be responsible for seeking to improve existing processes and tools through innovation, and helping the ECCS team overall by promoting the insight-driven culture. The Contracts Manager will serve as primary point of contact between the ECCS Team and various business functions on contract matters; implementing and managing the internal and external process for execution and filing of agreements; monitoring and tracking status of Contract matters; and assisting on other matters as needed.

  • Consistently elevate Contract review service levels based on input from the business

  • Term Contracts & Pricing Agreements

    • Develop and manage all assigned customer contracts for the PreHospital, Law Enforcement & Public Access segments of the BU

    • Review terms and conditions in customer agreements, propose exceptions as needed, and gain approval from Legal and Business leaders as required.

    • Periodically review approved template agreements and recommend standardized changes as new needs are identified or issues are discovered.

  • Responsible for Contract related processes and tools as the subject matter expert within the ECCS team.

  • Ensures secure storage and electronic filing of all contract related documents, working files and final executed agreements.

  • Engages in continuous improvement reviews, provides recommendations, solutions, supports ideas and initiatives.

  • Lead the development, creation, improvement, and execution of standard procedures for Contracts in the ECCS team.

  • Develops working product knowledge through participation in product training or reading appropriate product materials

  • Build strong partnerships with all stakeholders including ECCS, SCS (Stryker Customer Solutions), Legal & Risk Management teams.

  • Other responsibilities as assigned by Manager.

What you need

  • Bachelor’s degree or 6+ equivalent professional experience required

  • 6+ years relevant professional experience in a commercial environment negotiating and/or reviewing contracts

  • Paralegal certification

  • Previous experience with municipal/state governments related to contracting highly preferred

  • Strong Microsoft application skills, particularly in Excel and Word, Power BI highly preferred

$85,500 - $182,100 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.

Travel Percentage: 20%
