Technology Aspect
To establish a clear duty of care, Stellar Virtual and its affiliates require all employees to cover the costs associated with acquiring and providing the equipment (i.e., computers, internet service, telephone, home office setup, etc.) associated with virtual employment. Based on your position, you may be designated a company-issued device to use throughout your duration of employment.


Scope of Work

The Special Programs Review Contractor will be responsible for reviewing academic records during the registration process to ensure students are appropriately placed in grade levels based on their prior academic records and transcripts. Additionally, the Special Programs Review Contractor will be tasked with following up with parents and school districts, as necessary, to acquire any missing information required to complete enrollment.


Essential Services

  • Articulate the school's mission and vision to ensure a common understanding among stakeholders.

  • Effectively communicate with parents and teachers regarding enrollment requirements, grade level placement, and academic expectations.

  • Assist in processing enrollment approvals by reviewing academic records, such as report cards and transcripts, to determine eligibility and proper grade-level placement.

  • Monitor daily student enrollments to ensure timely approval of the required records.

  • Ensure the academic review process is efficient and meets enrollment criteria.

  • Communicate with parents and school districts to obtain any missing academic records needed for enrollment.

  • Assist in collecting academic records for final review and approval.

  • Provide information to parents about school policies and procedures.

  • Communicate and promote high expectations for student performance and behavior.

  • Effective communication with students, parents, staff, and the community.


Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

  • Proficient in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Keep, Drive, Chat)

  • Ability to successfully pass a background check. 

  • Experience in working with students, parents, and educational agencies.

  • Background in student enrollment, academic advising, and related fields.

  • ESL Clerk or Coordinator experience preferred

  • Bilingual preferred

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Experience using internet search engines for research projects and training

  • Proficiency in using a student information system and/or other types of databases

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficient in Zoom, Google Workspace, PEIMS, LMS, MS Excel, MS Word, and Outlook

  • Proficient in reading required ESL/EB/ELL/Former/Monitored records and related documentation


Education & Certification Requirements

  • A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. 


Contract Position Details

  • This is a contract position (1099-SE, Self-Employed) with no set hours. 
  • Contractors will work remotely from their locations.
  • Contractors are paid monthly on the 15th of each month, for hours worked in the previous month (on an hourly basis).
