Stellar Virtual was founded in 2019 with one school in Texas. We serve parents of K-12 students, unhappy with their current school, or needing an at-home/flexible learning environment. Today, Stellar Virtual has grown to six schools across three states: Texas, Arizona, and Indiana. Stellar Virtual is committed to going above and beyond for our virtual families.

Technology Aspect
Stellar Virtual is committed to ensuring our full-time employees have the tools they need to succeed in a virtual work environment. To support your role effectively, we provide a company-issued laptop, equipped with the necessary software, security features, and internal support. This does not apply to Independent Contractors (1099), part-time, seasonal, or unpaid individuals.
At-Will Notice
Employment with Stellar Virtual is on an at-will basis (only W2 employment types), meaning either the employee or the company may terminate the employment relationship at any time, with or without cause or notice, subject to applicable laws. Nothing in this job description should be construed as creating a guarantee of continued employment or a contract of employment for any specific duration. This does not apply to Independent Contractors (1099).

Position Overview
The Contractor for Recaptures at Stellar Virtual plays a crucial role in retaining students by addressing parent concerns and working proactively to win families back before they finalize their decision to withdraw. This contractor is a key player in maintaining student enrollment and ensuring that families feel supported and valued throughout their virtual education experience.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Parent Engagement: Proactively reach out to families considering withdrawal. Listen empathetically to concerns and challenges.
- Problem-Solving: Identify the root causes of dissatisfaction. Collaboratively explore solutions, such as educational adjustments or additional support services.
- Retention Strategy Implementation: Develop and implement personalized strategies to retain students. Leverage available school resources to meet the unique needs of each family.
- Effective Communication: Maintain clear, consistent communication with families. Provide updates, address questions, and ensure families feel heard and supported.
- Collaboration with School Teams: Work with Enrollment, Academic, and Support teams to create a seamless experience for families.
- Documentation and Reporting: Accurately record interactions, concerns, and outcomes in the CRM system. Provide regular updates to the Recapture Team Supervisor on case statuses, trends, and the effectiveness of retention strategies.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
- Previous experience in customer service, enrollment, retention, or related fields.
- Experience in educational or virtual learning environments is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to empathize with parents and address their concerns effectively.
- Experience with CRM systems and data tracking is advantageous.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Passion for supporting families in a virtual learning environment.
Education & Certification Requirements
- A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Contract Position Details
- This is a contract position (1099-SE, Self-Employed) with no set hours.
- Contractors will work remotely from their locations.
- Contractors are paid on an hourly, month-to-month basis, paid out on the 15th of each month, for hours worked in the previous month.
