Technology Aspect
Stellar Virtual and its affiliates require all employees and independent contractors to cover the costs associated with acquiring and providing the equipment (i.e., computers, internet service, telephone, home office setup, etc.) associated with remote employment.



At-Will Notice
Employment with Stellar Virtual will be on an at-will basis. As such, this position description is not a contract or guarantee of employment for a definite amount of time. 



Scope of Work

Provide customer care services to Stellar Virtual clients.

  • Actively respond to customer inquiries through the Stellar Virtual Customer Care platform.
  • Ensure all responses are timely and resolutions are efficient.
  • Monitor Customer Care communication platforms to ensure timely responses and resolution.
  • Direct messages, questions, and concerns to relevant personnel to ensure prompt and effective addressing.
  • Respond to families via email, phone, and text regarding general questions.
  • Direct families to the Let's Talk platform for further assistance.
  • Field questions regarding major Stellar Virtual initiatives such as enrollment, attendance, curriculum, testing, and grades.
  • Ensure inquiries are answered in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Stellar Virtual products, services, and policies to provide accurate information to customers.
  • Collaborate with other team members to provide a seamless customer service experience.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of customer service improvement initiatives.
  • Weekly report on customer inquiries handled, including response times and resolution outcomes.
  • Monthly summary of feedback received from customers and suggestions for service improvements.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service

Education & Certification Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred but is not required.
  • At least three years of working in a customer service capacity in a school setting is required. 

Contract Details

  • Duration: Start date through June 30, 2024 (or based on business need)
  • Compensation: $15.00/Hour, Project-Based (Customer Service Only)
  • Hours: 15-20 per week; no more than 29 per week. 
  • Reporting: The Independent Contractor will report to the Service Desk Manager.
