We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Contracting Specialist to support our CFO and business development team. This role will help our company secure new contracts and execute on current contracts.



What you’ll do

  • Advise the sales team on a deal-by-deal basis about the various contracting strategies and paths that are optimal.
  • Review, prepare and manage sales collateral related to contracting, such as Quotes, ROMs, Contracting Pathways, etc.
  • Help prepare and review documents we send to prospective clients and customers, such as proposals, SOWs, etc.
  • Work closely with account executives and CFO on sales opportunities which are in late stages and involve contracting.
  • Work with CFO and outside legal counsel during final contract negotiations and reviews.
  • Assist in capture efforts by monitoring public solicitations (including SBIR and sam.gov).
  • Actively participate in new business pursuit activity requiring a sound knowledge of competitive and sole source proposal preparation processes.
  • Proactively identifies pursuit, program and company risks and provides recommended mitigations.



Your qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience managing proposal preparation and contract negotiations from inception to completion.
  • Experience within the federal sector, including the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and other federal civilian agencies and familiarity with the solicitation and proposal/capture process.
  • Experience and sound working knowledge of U.S. government procurement regulations (FAR / DFAR / FAA AMS, etc.).
  • Knowledge of the SBIR process.
  • Ability to interpret contractual requirements and provide guidance to program personnel and management.
  • Experience thinking outside the box and chasing opportunities, preferably in fast-paced, technology-driven environments
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree a plus.
  • This position will work directly on projects related to the Department of Defense. You must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship with the ability to obtain a security clearance, which is issued by the U.S. government. U.S. citizenship is required by the DoD for security clearance.

Salary range: $100,000 - $165,000
