Why This Role Is Valuable  

This role will be responsible for staying in compliance with Payroll Taxes, ensuring 1600+ employees are taxed under the right jurisdiction. Partner closely with ADP, validating accuracy of periodic, monthly and quarterly taxes.

Role Description

  • Investigate and resolve payroll tax issues, including discrepancies, penalties, and notices from tax authorities.

  • Respond promptly to inquiries from tax agencies and employees regarding payroll tax matters.

  • Assist in preparation and filing of payroll tax returns.

  • Reconcile payroll tax liabilities and resolve discrepancies in filings.

  • Stay updated on changes to payroll tax laws and regulations, always ensuring compliance.

  • Maintain accurate payroll tax records for audits and compliance reviews.

  • Utilize ADP Smart Compliance in conjunction with Workday Payroll to manage tax filing, payments, and compliance for all payroll related taxes. Ensure both systems align and are reflective of correct tax data.

  • Partner with the HRIS team to improve payroll tax reporting processes.

  • Provide expert guidance on payroll tax matters.

  • Work closely with People Ops, payroll and finance teams to align payroll tax processes with organizational policies.

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Payroll Tax, federal and multi-state.

  • In-depth knowledge of multi-state payroll tax laws, regulations and procedures.

  • Experience in Workday and Smart Compliance.

  • Strong excel skills.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex payroll tax information to non-technical partners.

Base Compensation Range:

$55.00 To $60.00. This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of the Company’s base salary range for this position. Actual base salary range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
