As a Content Marketing Specialist, you’ll be responsible for driving the content strategy for WP Umbrella.
You’ll deliver high-quality content that resonates with our audience of WordPress professionals, work with industry experts to build out the WP Umbrella Academy, and manage our social media calendar.
We're a small start-up, so you'll have a big impact on the success of our business and be reporting directly to our CEO.

Your Mission
- Content Marketing Strategy: Lead the development of our blog’s content strategy and white papers, producing 1-2 articles per week. Ensure the content is optimized for SEO and adds value to our audience.
- WP Umbrella Academy: Collaborate with industry experts to write and produce educational content for the WP Umbrella Academy, helping agencies and freelancers scale their businesses.
- Social Media Management: Create and manage a social media calendar with 5 engaging posts per week across LinkedIn, X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and more. Collaborate with the team to ensure a steady flow of content and interaction.
Requirements
- Writing Expertise: Flawless writing skills in English, with a proven ability to craft engaging, informative, and SEO-optimized content. You know how to use Semrush.
- SEO Knowledge: Strong understanding of SEO best practices and how to optimize content for organic growth, research keywords, etc.
- Knowledge of WordPress and agency challenges: You understand WordPress well and are familiar with the specific challenges faced by web agencies.
- Creativity & Design: Experience with Canva and a flair for creating visually appealing content to accompany your posts and articles.
- Video Editing Skills: Ability to create and edit simple video content to enhance our social media presence.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively in a remote environment.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a willingness to share ideas and learn from others.
Benefits
The base salary for this role is $28,200, with a total compensation package estimated at $30,000. We're looking for someone who can work an 7-8h per days.
