Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Write compelling marketing copy across a variety of content deliverables, including websites, blogs, landing pages, print mailers, video scripts, and other creative assets.
  • Refresh and optimize existing blog, landing page, and website content to improve user experience, maintain brand positioning/messaging, and better align the work to a client’s other marketing campaigns and larger business goals.
  • Work closely with other members of the Content, SEO, and Design teams to incorporate SEO goals into rich website content while still prioritizing user experience.
  • Generate keyword ideas and conduct keyword research using dedicated software.
  • Use keyword research and other industry research to create quality content strategies for website and blog pages.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on content written by other team members, including thorough proofreading.
  • Attend and participate in client onboarding meetings to gain an understanding of the tone and goal of the copy required.
  • Skillfully interview clients about their company history, differentiators, brand voice, target audience, and service offerings to align copy with their stated goals and outcomes.
  • Keep track of multiple deadlines and client projects, ensuring timely delivery of assignments without sacrificing quality.
  • Partner with the internal Sales, Project Management, and Customer Service teams to ensure alignment on client accounts and provide status updates on content delivery deadlines.
  • Understand basic reporting metrics and platforms and adapt findings into actionable items to improve the work and ongoing performance.
  • Attend regular department and company-wide meetings to stay abreast of the latest industry developments and company initiatives.
  • Participate in and contribute to ongoing team trainings for consistent team growth.
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to maintain a consistent tone, voice, and brand representation in written format across all platforms and channels, whether for short or long-format content
  • Experience in working with or maintaining a calendar of project deadlines and content launch dates
  • Familiarity with third-party enterprise SEO tools (e.g., Semrush, Surfer SEO, etc.)
  • Understanding of how to use AI tools as an assistant to enhance—not replace—creative thinking and process efficiencies
  • Able to work cross-platform in multiple CMS environments with a focus on WordPress & similar platforms
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills
  • Excellent critical thinking, interpersonal, communication, time management, and organizational skills
  • Strong interview skills, professional decorum, and the ability to maintain composure during client-facing conversations
  • Intuitive and applied understanding of why some content works and some doesn't, including the ability to write toward a variety of target audiences, brand voices, and preferred tones
  • Attention to detail, adaptable, flexible, independent, self-motivated, and capable of working in a fast-paced, agile environment
  • Passion for marketing and writing, creativity, and a great attitude
  • A collaborative & proactive team player
