Content Developer - K-12 Mathematics

We have an ongoing need for part-time contributors to the development of our educational materials for a variety of programs. Working under the direction of a Senior Content Developer and/or a Content Director (or one or more full-time members of the Product, Publishing or other relevant teams), a Content Developer will act as a primary subject matter expert in one or more specific content areas relevant to The Princeton Review and Tutor.com’s services. A Content Developer will participate in activities such as authoring, editing, and proofreading materials, which may include books, tests, practice questions, syllabi, and lesson plans in digital and print formats. A Content Developer may also participate in activities such as the recording of video lessons, reviewing or testing online educational products and data entry using a variety of online systems, including ones that are proprietary to The Princeton Review and Tutor.com. A Content Developer may be a member of The Princeton Review and Tutor.com instructional faculty and must balance work on content development projects with other work such as teaching, tutoring and training to fulfill all responsibilities, including executing development projects to meet company goals and deadlines.
Major Responsibilities:
- Act as a primary subject matter expert in K-12 mathematics, contributing to relevant projects 10-20 hours/week.
- Organize, create, review, and edit math content, including books, course outlines and syllabi, for academic products or other products and services of The Princeton Review and Tutor.com under the direction of a Senior Content Developer and/or Content Director.
- Deliver the highest quality materials and resources on schedule.
- Communicate consistently and promptly on progress of project(s), including projects and other types of work happening through teams across The Princeton Review and Tutor.com.
- Participate in meetings and/or trainings as necessary to complete content development projects.
Education, Background, Experience & Qualifications:
- 2-3 years’ experience in teaching, tutoring, training, or content creation of middle school and high school mathematics.
- Experience with the production of digital and print learning materials, including textbooks, tests, and online lesson presentations, both live and pre-recorded.
- Outstanding problem-solving and organizational skills with proven track record of managing multiple projects and tasks efficiently and simultaneously.
- Willingness to work in a remote/distributed environment.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics or a related area, or equivalent real-world expertise, with preference for relevant advanced degrees.
COMPENSATION:
- Pay: $25 per hour
