Content Designer

Remote job

Your Mission

As a Content Designer at Tellent, your primary focus will be on creating high-quality content for our products (Recruitee, KiwiHR, and Javelo). You’ll work closely with teams across Design, Product, and Marketing. This role requires a mix of creativity, proactiveness, and attention to detail.

About the team

You will be part of a small Content Design team responsible for creating, maintaining, and localizing high-quality product content.

Your 12-month journey

First 3 months: You will spend this time onboarding, learning about our products (Recruitee, KiwiHR, Javelo), and getting familiar with our content strategy and processes. You’ll begin assisting Product Designers with smaller tasks and start reviewing product content.

After 6 months: By now, you will have more ownership over content design tasks. You’ll be actively contributing to feature releases and working closely with the Design team. You’ll also play a key role in maintaining and improving our content guidelines, ensuring consistency across messaging for all three products.

After 12 months: At the 12-month mark, you should be a fully integrated member of the team, leading content projects independently.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Write user-centered microcopy (tooltips, error messages, etc.) and other types of product content, including in-app notifications, product update posts, emails, and help documentation.

  • Occasionally create video content for product updates, and product walkthroughs.

  • Create and maintain documentation, ensuring that everyone has access to the latest content guidelines.

  • Work closely with UX designers, developers, product managers, marketers, and other stakeholders to integrate content into the product development process.

  • Participate in design critique meetings, present work to collect feedback, and implement necessary revisions.

  • Use data and user feedback to refine content strategies and increase user engagement.

  • Ensure all content is on-brand, consistent in style, quality, and tone of voice, and optimized for search and user experience.

  • Analyze existing content and provide recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

What you’ll bring to the team

  • 3+ years of experience as a UX writer, content designer, or in a similar role, preferably within product teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Communications, UX Design, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of UX writing, with an ability to consider the entire product experience, balancing business and user needs as well as restrictions.

  • A portfolio showcasing writing samples that demonstrate your skills and experience.

  • Comfortable working through ambiguity, with a proactive approach to identifying problems and creating solutions.

  • Initiative to identify problems and complete tasks independently.

  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, along with strong communication abilities.

  • Strong visual design skills and familiarity with design software (e.g., Figma).

  • Ability to analyze and use data to inform content decisions.

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines while also effectively collaborating with a team.

  • Ability to take direction and work within a team environment.

  • Required: English C1 or C2 (written and spoken)

  • Ideal but not required: Fluency in German, French or Dutch will be a plus.
