Consumer Protection Compliance Analyst (Remote, Based in the US)

JOB SUMMARY

The Consumer Protection Compliance Analyst supports his/her respective area(s) of Conifer’s Ethics and Compliance program. The Compliance Analyst will support compliance program initiatives and participate in a variety of projects. The Analyst will primarily be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Consumer Protection Program through testing, monitoring, analysis and reporting of consumer protection-related metrics, including vendor performance, where applicable, to identify and escalate issues and key trends to help reduce compliance risk. The Analyst will also have the opportunity to support other compliance operations initiatives.

Develops and maintains key metrics to use when reviewing program effectiveness with senior compliance leadership. Responsible for assessing objectives and performance metrics in his/her respective area(s) of the compliance program and executes upon actions identified during analysis. Additionally, the Analyst will be responsible for understanding both the organization’s and its clients’ needs and how best to deliver.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Conifer Consumer Protection Compliance Analysis & Reporting:

  • Supports process improvement efforts by providing and analyzing data.
  • Builds reporting solutions and develops/enhances existing dashboards and other key reports to be utilized by Senior Compliance Leadership to monitor program effectiveness and communication effectiveness to Conifer’s leadership team.
  • Maintains the integrity of compliance program data to ensure accurate and effective reporting.
  • Independently investigates breakdown in processes and coordinates resolution for system reporting issues.
  • Develops both routine and ad hoc reports to support client engagement and governance processes.

Vendor Consumer Protection Compliance Analysis & Reporting

  • Performs risk-based vendor consumer protection-related compliance testing to identify potential compliance concerns
  • Analyzes data in vendor testing samples and performs accounts reviews, where applicable
  • Drafting findings and/or observations
  • Effectively communicating results of vendor governance process testing to Compliance Leadership
  • Building data analytics and reporting solutions and developing dashboards and other key reports to clearly communicate vendor consumer protection related compliance testing results to Conifer leadership
  • Identifying and recommending opportunities to mitigate risks or improve the efficiency or effectiveness Conifer oversight of vendor compliance.

Compliance Culture and Prevention

  • Develops useful tools and dashboards to aid in enhancing the culture of compliance within the organization.
  • Develops and implements key compliance monitoring activities; identifying, reporting, and implementing monitoring controls
  • Develops and/or contributes to the development of compliance-related training and/or other mechanisms to mitigate risks or improve the efficiency or effectiveness of business operations and compliance program.
  • Tracks corrective action plans related to regulatory impacts, including those identified as a result of compliance monitoring or testing.

  • Proficient with various desktop applications such as Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and/or Business Intelligence applications

  • Intuitive and skilled at problem solving in anticipation of customer request
  • Have the ability to make logical correlations between data points to determine if analysis is accurate
  • Detail oriented, meticulous and accurate in completing tasks on time.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Health Care Administration, or related field or commensurate experience preferred.
  • Two to four years of compliance or revenue cycle professional experience preferred

PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE

  • Certified Healthcare Compliance (CHC) or Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional (CCEP) is preferred

Compensation and Benefit Information

Compensation

  • Pay Range: $65,000-$95,000 annually **Individual wages are determined based upon a number of factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications and experience
  • Position may be eligible for a signing bonus for qualified new hires, subject to employment status.
  • Conifer observed holidays receive time and a half
