ABOUT THE JOB
The Construction Manager manages assigned construction projects from beginning to end. This includes but is not limited to working with architects to gather necessary site information, establishing project budgets, managing general contractors and sub-contractors, attending client meetings, setting up new clinics, and closing out projects within an approved project budget and timeline. This position will include extensive nationwide travel.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage construction and clinic setup for projects ranging from $150K to $1.5MM from conception through completion.
- Own overall project delivery (cost, schedule, quality, information, contracts) on multiple project assignments
- Manage all budgets, schedules, scope development, design and construction contracts, documents, procedures, and controls for assigned projects.
- Supervise multiple crews simultaneously on multiple projects.
- Manage the review and approval process for vendor invoices, contractor pay applications, and change orders
- Attend assigned meetings virtually and in person and report on project progress.
- Resolve complex construction related issues, disputes, and disagreements.
- Review status and monitor the construction project database variances relative to scheduling and cost control reporting.
- Review daily requirements of the projects, document progress, and notify managers of progress and challenges.
- Provide appropriate field documentation, photo logs, graphs, and sketches for various projects.
- Qualify vendors and subcontractors and guide them through the vendor qualification process.
- Serve as the highest-ranking onsite owner representative, emphasizing schedule, cost, scope, and safety.
- At least 50% and up to 75% nationwide travel as needed for site visits to gather information for architects, onsite client meetings, onsite contractor meetings, clinic setup, and punch list work.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or Construction Management, plus a minimum of 5 years experience as a Project Manager in an Engineering, Environmental, or Construction environment required; previous healthcare project management experience in Construction preferred. Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, building systems/components and technology, contract management, project delivery methods, team building, and client relationship building required. Must be capable of managing fixed-bid projects and rate and material projects. Ability to read and manage blueprints. Understand and adhere to local building codes, regulatory agency requirements, and ADA Compliance. Willingness to adopt new technologies and systems. Ability to use mapping and scanning technologies and office software. Ability to travel extensively on a nationwide basis, sometimes with short notice.

Pay Range: $90,000 - $120,000/yr
The actual offer may vary dependent upon geographic location and the candidate’s years of experience and/or skill level. This position is also eligible for an annual incentive.
