Job Description

The Conference Planning Senior Consultant plans, manages, and implements all aspects of meetings, conferences, and events assigned by senior management and leadership in a manner that is consistent with Allstate’s overall corporate objectives and procedures. In addition, responsibilities include leading a program team to produce desired results, maintaining accurate and complete budget reports, reconciliation, post event follow up, reviewing and analyzing the outcome to determine effectiveness for each event.
This position requires some availability for work on nights and weekends during catastrophe and/or weather events. This position also requires availability for some travel (approximately 10%) and limited PTO approval during Hurricane Season (July to November). Selected individual may be compensated for time worked outside of normal business hours.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provides expertise on systems or applications as needed by a department/discipline
  • Evaluates current results, identifies variances to planned performance, analyzes causes of variance and recommends action through tracking expense plan performance
  • Forecasts short-term deliverables
  • Oversees Program Performance and service contract reviews
  • Participates in site location visits
  • Reviews and monitors budgets
  • Works with internal clients to plan and coordinate event logistics
  • Serves as backup for other team members

Education

  • 4 year Bachelors Degree (Preferred)

Experience

  • 3 or more years of experience (Preferred)
  • Previous meeting planning experience is required

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This job does not have supervisory duties.

Education & Experience (in lieu)

  • In lieu of the above education requirements, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $52,260.00 - 92,790.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
