As the Advance Structures Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in safeguarding the integrity and efficiency of our supply chain operations. In this position, you will lead and conduct comprehensive audits and inspection reviews to evaluate the robustness of our internal control systems, risk management strategies, and governance processes within our purchasing system. You will also contribute your expertise to special projects aimed at enhancing operational effectiveness and ensuring adherence to regulatory and organizational standards. What YOU will do

  • Support Compliance leadership in monitoring changes in U.S. Government regulations and support work to align site policies, procedures, work instructions and tools to ensure regulatory compliance at the sites.
  • Assist in preparation of formal written reports and/or conduct oral briefings on audit related project and other related matters to leadership.
  • Assist with implementing inspection requirements for site purchase orders to ensure Supply Chain personnel are complying with processes and standard work, Advanced Structures policy and procedures as well as Collins/RTX policies and procedures.
  • Assist Compliance leadership with external and government audit project related efforts.
  • Support process improvement activity to include development of tools and solutions to improve business results, this may include development and deployment of training for the purchasing system requirements, process, and tools.
  • Gain expertise in Supply Chain policies and procedures to support and assist/support in customer inquiries, reviews and audits of pricing information to include requests for purchasing data/reports – internal, external, third party, and government.
  • Responsible for providing input to leadership to support decisions on the adequacy and effectiveness of purchasing system process, risk and internal inspection control disciplines that could adversely impact Corporate and Stakeholder value.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationship with Business Unit, Strategic Business Unit and Shared Service leadership to ensure understanding and acceptance of audit issues impacting business risks and controls. May interface regularly with middle and senior level management (director and above).
  • Utilize CORE/continuous improvement tools to determine root cause, corrective action, and apply mistake proofing actions to processes to prevent re-occurrence of escapes.
  • Travel less than 15%.

Education & Experience

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience

Qualifications you must have

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract 
  • Procurement or Compliance experience.
  • Experience working with FAR/DFARS or legal/contract terms and conditions
  • Utilize advanced data analysis techniques to extract actionable insights from complex datasets.

Skills we value

  • Experience with Contractor Procuring System Review (CPSR) is preferred
  • Experience working in a virtual team environment
  • Experience developing and facilitating trainings.
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement principles (CORE Apprentice Certification, Lean or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification)
  • Experience in MS Office applications, specifically Teams, MS PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Experience with enterprise management systems (SAP is strongly preferred)
  • Experience collaborating and influencing stakeholders to improve a business objective.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
