What we’re looking for

Part of Vacasa strategy includes actively acquiring homes through organic and acquisitive growth; as a result, we need to ensure the function of rental compliance is fully supported within the business. The Compliance Lead has stong computer and analytic skills, and is a clear communicator with excellent organizational and prioritization skills. He/She will be responsible for auditing to ensure properties are compliant and actively managing the regulatory needs and assigned units of his/her assigned region, as well as managing a team of Compliance Coordinators. This role reports to the Compliance Manager.

This position is 100% remote and you must reside in an approved state. See below. 

What you'll do

  • Manage a team of compliance coordinators with weekly check-ins
  • Research, create and maintain comprehensive regulation documentation.
  • Assess regulation needs to increase service quality and/or efficiency.
  • Analyze and report on current regulations and ordinances and also provide project management to assist with new regulation implementations
  • Frequently track and audit assigned regions. 
  • Locate missing permit information.
  • De-escalate major issues
  • Support the larger Compliance team during peak seasons and large projects.
  • Additional duties as assigned, including applying for licenses.

Skills you'll need

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to collaborate with multiple departments and stakeholders.  Team building skills is essential.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to change and deliver results in highly ambiguous environments.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to properly assess problems and provide solutions.
  • Tech-savvy - including Google applications.
  • Ability to pull and maintain spreadsheet reports.
  • Experience with managing other people.
  • Any experience with planning or zoning is a plus.

Compensation:

  • $23 - $30 / hour. Actual pay will vary based on a candidate's skill, experience, education and/or location.
