The Opportunity

The Compliance Associate for Graduate and Professional Enrollment is a member of the Compliance Team for the Office of Enrollment Compliance and Design, reports to the Associate Vice Provost for Enrollment, and plays a lead role in the execution of establishing critical enrollment compliance fundamentals for regulated areas, such as the principles and standards established by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education, requirements to participate in Title IV federal financial aid programs and to administer Veterans Benefits, across all enrollment functions – admissions, financial aid, and registrar – alongside our partners in those areas, across the Ithaca, Tech and Weill locations.

The Compliance Associate will partner closely with compliance and functional teams working in the areas of admissions, financial aid, and registrar, centrally and across all colleges, schools and locations (Ithaca, Tech, and Weill) in addition to campus partners and leaders to develop and implement a sustainable compliance framework for regulated areas across graduate and professional functions for the Ithaca, Tech and Weill locations. • In consultation with unit leads and in consideration of industry best practices, establish consistent internal policy and procedure standards.

  • Develop and provide policy and procedure templates and internal control documentation templates for use across functions.

  • Outline policies, identify policy gaps, and work with leadership to develop plans for gap closure.

  • Work with enrollment functional leads to develop and implement training materials to accompany policy and procedural documentation.

  • Develop compliance training content for future use in various formats – recorded, on-demand content; live, large-group zoom sessions; in-person trainings, large and small, etc.

  • Guide graduate and professional enrollment professionals in understanding audit requirements, documenting in preparation for audits, and developing and implementing internal monitoring in alignment with audit requirements.

  • Coordinate enrollment risk assessments designed by the University Compliance Office for graduate and professional enrollment areas.

  • Develop and provide guidance documents for reporting incidents and issues.
