About the Role
Compliance Analyst - Pharmacy
OpenLoop is looking for a Compliance Analyst - Pharmacy to join our team at our corporate headquarters in Des Moines, IA or remotely. This role will be a member of the Compliance Team, collaborating closely with the Director of Operations.
What You’ll Do:
- Regulatory Compliance Management: Oversee day-to-day regulatory compliance in the Pharmacy department by ensuring the timely identification and resolution of compliance issues in accordance with established policies and procedures. Collaborate with leadership, pharmacy staff, and the Compliance Team to ensure the effective management of these issues.
- Compliance Support: Serve as a Compliance Team Member and Regulatory Compliance Liaison to assist various business units in meeting state and federal laws and regulations, and ensure adherence to ethical business practices while promoting innovation.
- Auditing & Reporting: Participate in pharmacy compliance-related meetings and consult on phone calls with the Compliance Office. Provide research and data support for audits, both internal and external, as requested.
- Partnerships & Collaboration: Work closely with Legal/Compliance teams, the Quality Program & Accreditation team, and other departments to ensure organizational compliance. Build strong, collaborative relationships across the organization to drive compliance efforts and resolve inquiries.
- Issue Resolution & Data Collection: Research, track, and report on compliance inquiries, collecting both internal and external data. Take proactive steps to address compliance needs and find resolutions.
- Regulatory Audits: Assist in responding to and supporting requests for regulatory audits, ensuring the Pharmacy department meets all required standards.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned related to regulatory compliance and pharmacy operations.
Who You Are:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience in the health insurance, healthcare, or a related industry, with hands-on experience in reading, understanding, and communicating regulations, policies, and guidelines.
- You are inquisitive and a natural critical thinker, always seeking to understand regulatory guidelines and their potential business impacts.
- You possess excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively in order to meet deadlines.
- You are adaptable and thrive in a collaborative environment, while also taking initiative when needed.
- You are committed to staying current on compliance best practices and industry regulations, especially as they pertain to pharmacy operations.
- You have a keen eye for detail, with strong analytical skills to identify inconsistencies and resolve complex issues.
Remote Salary Range$80,000—$98,000 USD
