Compensation Analyst

In this role, you will help design and implement competitive and fair compensation packages for our employees. Daily, you will be responsible for researching, analyzing, and evaluating market data, industry trends, and best practices to ensure that our pay and benefits are aligned with our business goals and objectives.
As a compensation analyst, you will work closely with managers, HR business partners, and other stakeholders to provide guidance and support on compensation-related matters. You will also participate in compensation surveys, conduct pay equity audits, develop salary ranges and structures, and administer incentive programs.
To thrive in this role, you should have a bachelor’s degree in finance, human resources, or business, and at least two years of experience as a compensation analyst or specialist. You should also have strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, as well as a solid understanding of local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations. A certification as a Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) is a plus.

- Research, analyze, and evaluate market data, industry trends, and best practices to develop competitive and fair compensation packages for our employees.
- Design and communicate pay structures, grades, compensation budgets, and guidelines that support our business strategy and objectives.
- Advise managers and HR business partners on making effective pay decisions that support employee engagement and comply with compensation policy and legal requirements.
- Participate in compensation surveys and benchmarking studies to ensure that our pay practices are aligned with the market.
- Conduct pay equity audits and analyses to identify and address any potential pay disparities or issues within the organization.
- Develop salary ranges and structures for each role within the organization based on job evaluation and market data.
- Administer incentive programs such as bonuses, commissions, and stock options that motivate and reward employee performance.
- Review and update compensation policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with other HR functions such as benefits, payroll, talent acquisition, and performance management to ensure alignment and integration of compensation programs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, human resources, or business, or equivalent work experience.
- Two years of experience as a compensation analyst or specialist in a similar industry or organization.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and interpret large data sets using Excel or other tools.
