Description:
WES is seeking a passionate and dynamic Community Engagement Specialist to join our Product team. In this role, you will build and foster community panels that facilitate product hypothesis testing, allowing us to collect valuable insights that guide project decisions and enhance our services within the educational and immigration sectors. You will act as a liaison between the community and WES, ensuring that the community's needs and feedback are considered and that the organization’s initiatives are effectively communicated.

Duties included but not limited to:
- Establishes and manages online and offline panels of diverse WES users, including educational and immigration applicants, to participate in product testing and feedback sessions.
- Develops, implements and executes strategies to encourage active participation from both B2B and B2C community members, gathering feedback critical to product research and validation.
- Coordinates community interactions to collect data and insights that will support the product team’s hypotheses, ultimately enhancing user experience and satisfaction.
- Maintains data and records related to community interactions, events, and partnerships and prepare reports on community engagement efforts while sharing insights with internal teams and leadership.
- Organizes and manages community events such as focus groups, virtual meetups, and feedback panels tailored to specific projects and user groups.
- Works closely with Product Managers, UX Researchers, and other stakeholders to align community initiatives with project goals and timelines.
- Refines engagement practices based on community feedback and participation metrics to enhance the quality of future interactions.
- Represents the organization at community meetings, events, and public forums, advocating for the company’s initiatives and mission.
- Assists in identifying community issues and concerns that may require organizational attention or response.
- Develops and maintains a network of community leaders, stakeholders, and influencers to support advocacy and outreach efforts.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, Social Sciences, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Minimum of 2-4 years in community engagement, public relations, social impact, or a related role.
- Open to potential travelling for larger community engagement initiatives, regional events, or meetings with stakeholders.
- Proven experience in building and managing communities, especially in a B2B and B2C context, with an understanding of both education and immigration processes.
- Possesses a customer centric mindset and a strong passion for understanding user needs and turning insights into actionable product improvements.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships, manage conflicts, and engage people from different backgrounds and communities.
- Ability to address challenges and find creative solutions for engaging communities and building partnerships.
- Deep understanding of diverse community needs, approach them with a cultural sensitivity and engage with people from varied backgrounds.
- Highly skilled in engaging, motivating, and clearly communicating with diverse community members.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate events efficiently.
- Ability to work with a fast-paced project with several stakeholders.
- Experienced in overseeing community programs from concept to completion, ensuring timelines and goals are met.
- Proficient in gathering, analyzing, and presenting both qualitative and quantitative data.
