Communications Specialist - Nationwide Remote Office (US99)
ICF seeks a Communications Specialist to work within our Children and Youth (C&Y) portfolio. The C&Y portfolio provides training, technical assistance, and program support to promote evidence-based solutions for child and family services. The Communications Specialist supports a wide range of communications services to support the training and learning needs of call center representatives who provide health care access and information for military personnel and their families.
Location:
This role will be based out of a home/remote ICF office with occasional travel for client and staff meetings.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development and implementation of strategic communications plans and campaigns.
- Contribute to content creation including print publications, training materials, checklists, and templates.
- Copyedit and proofread a variety of communications materials, including email blasts and newsletters.
- Provide quality assurance reviews for deliverables.
- Ensure web content is relevant and up to date; assist with periodic reviews and content development.
- Coordinate and assemble materials for distribution and in response to calls for information.
- Track deliverables and maintain progress reports.
- Support other communications-related tasks and deliverables.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years of experience in a communications role, preferably in a corporate or government environment.
- Ability to obtain government security clearance.
Professional Skills:
- Solid team player with proven ability to manage competing priorities, perspectives and partnership needs.
- Proven track record of successfully supporting multiple communication projects simultaneously.
- Experience with industry-specific regulations and compliance standards.
- Proficiency in crafting compelling and engaging content across various platforms, external releases, website copy, and internal communications.
- Strong editing and proofreading abilities, with a thorough understanding of grammar, punctuation, and AP style.
