Invitae is seeking an experienced leader for our sales performance management who can help transform the way we work so we can then achieve our goal of transforming healthcare. This individual will be responsible for designing and implementing an incentive compensation plan in alignment with Invitae’s strategic and financial goals, and executing that plan accurately and in a legal and compliant manner.  We are looking for an experienced, internally motivated, detail-oriented, team player with elite communication and collaboration skills.

 

What you will do: 

  • Incentive Compensation Plan Design - Work with Commercial Leadership, People & Culture and Finance to create a motivating incentive compensation plan include annual goals, awards, contests and more that is in alignment with legal and compliance and supports Invitae’s corporate goals
  • Incentive Compensation Plan Administration - Rollout the incentive compensation plan to covered employees.  Administer the compensation plan accurately, fairly and on time.  Manage submission and approval of plan and quarterly payouts with commercial and financial leadership
  • Sales Performance Management - Define, measure and monitor key performance indicators for our field sales and business development teams
  • Commercial Team Training and Communication - Communicate the plan details to commercial team members covered by the plan; be available to answer any and all questions pertaining to plan design and implementation; develop training and communications materials
  • Support Data and Reporting - work with commercial operations reporting team to develop reporting (Looker dashboards and Salesforce reports) that communication plan data and results clearly and accurately

 

What you bring:  

Required

  • 10+ years experience with 5+ years in commercial operations, including
    • Incentive compensation design and management
    • Sales performance management
    • Experience with CRM tools, reporting and dashboarding
  • Experience in cross functional leadership: Supporting multiple stakeholder groups and prioritizing competing needs to enable effective and strategic collaboration between technical and non-technical teams.
  • Be collaborative, humble, team-first, detail-oriented, proactive, and flexible; know what you do and don’t know, and be constantly improving. Be experienced in (and prefer!) influencing through data and the strength of your argument rather than relying on politics or appeals to authority.

Nice To Have

  • Leading incentive compensation for sales/commercial ops with >200 sales reps, >200 service reps, >$1Bn revenue
  • 5+ years experience with the Salesforce.com CRM platform specifically
  • Experience with Business Intelligence enterprise tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker, etc)
  • Experience with OKR-based operations management (Objectives and Key Results)
  • Experience with agile development processes or similar
  • Experience in life sciences can be helpful but is not required, as an outside perspective may provide as much or more value as experience does. We will consider all backgrounds.
This salary range is an estimate, and the actual salary may vary based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location.
