Job Description SummaryGE Healthcare, a leading global medical technology company, is seeking an experienced Commercial & Marketing Learning Director for its Imaging business. The Learning Director will drive global sales enablement initiatives, aligning with the Imaging business strategies and goals. This individual will partner closely with commercial and marketing leaders and employees to understand their needs and ensure that training programs equip them with the knowledge, skills, and behaviors necessary to meet business objectives.
Key responsibilities include developing, executing, and sustaining learning programs while measuring their impact and demonstrating ROI through regular reporting. The Learning Director will collaborate with both Imaging Business Leaders and Regional Learning Leaders to design and implement effective global learning experiences. This role reports to the Chief Learning Officer, Commercial Imaging, and is based in the U.S., with the option to work remotely.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Program Development and Execution: Design, develop, and execute effective training programs. Ensure sustainability of learning initiatives and demonstrate ROI through regular reporting of key metrics and performance indicators.
  • Content Development: Lead the development of commercial and marketing skills training content for internal teams across global regions.
  • Learner Engagement: Drive growth in learner participation and course completion rates.
  • Collaboration with Regional Teams: Work closely with regions/zones to understand content needs, training scope, and competitive landscape. Identify and adopt best practices, ensuring learner feedback is integrated into continuous course improvements.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management: Build strong connections with regional commercial leaders to fully understand the essential knowledge, skills, and behaviors required for effective learning experiences.
  • Metrics and Reporting: Track and report global and regional training metrics, implementing action plans to ensure success in the activation strategy.
  • Senior Management Communication: Provide clear, regular updates to senior management on program status, issues, risks, and plans.
  • Project Management: Manage project teams to support and deliver solutions related to training programs.
  • Program Support Coordination: Oversee program support activities, including global communications, establishing benchmarks, gathering requirements, implementation, testing, adoption, and regional translations.

Required Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Learning & Development, or a related field.
  • Learning & Development Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a Learning and Development role, focusing on training program design and implementation.
  • Project and Program Management: Proven experience in creating and maintaining project plans, communicating with key stakeholders, and developing/managing timelines.
  • Instructional Design Expertise: Skilled in designing and deploying blended learning experiences (digital and/or in-person) while applying adult learning principles and establishing/reporting relevant metrics.
  • Knowledge of Learning Platforms: Familiarity with learning experience platforms and digital learning tools.
  • Agile Methodology Application: Experience in designing and developing programs using agile methodologies for learning content creation and delivery.
  • Global Team Collaboration: Demonstrated experience working with global teams to meet regional and cross-functional needs.

Desired Characteristics

  • Technical Proficiency: Advanced hands-on experience with Adobe Learning Manager (LMS), Camtasia, and Adobe Rise 360.
  • Industry Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in Life Sciences or a related industry.
  • Digital Learning Expertise: Proficient in utilizing various digital learning technologies to enhance training programs.
  • Commercial Experience: Previous experience working with commercial employees, specifically in sales and marketing roles.
  • Advanced Education: Master’s degree in a related discipline, such as Learning & Development, Business, or Education.

For U.S. based positions only, the pay range for this position is $117,600.00-$176,400.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills, qualifications, experience and location. In addition, this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI).
