Commercial Finance Analyst

Job Description:

The purpose of this role is to assist the Commercial Finance team in delivering timely and accurate information to the business through analysis of business unit performance. The role will utilize financial analysis techniques to provide insight, analysis and trends on critical business issues impacting the day-to-day performance of a business unit for consideration by senior stakeholders. 

It requires a dedicated individual, with a strong understanding of financial matters, and close attention to detail. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Collecting and analyzing financial information to support commercial decision making including pitch support and renewals 

• Identifies and monitors underlying drivers of cost and revenue variances between actual expenditure vs. forecast/budget, highlighting issues and margin impact where necessary 

• Supports maintenance of SQL database including working with Commercial Finance and FP&A to track client data, forecasts and actuals.  Utilize data to help with support internal reporting and external (marketing) requests  

• Supports the business supporting there resourcing requirements including time reporting and staffing reconciliations 

• Supports executive business reporting including monthly financial package 

• Supplies ad-hoc financial information and analysis as and when required 

Qualifications & Experience: 

• Relevant finance / accounting qualification. 

• Commercially minded with a natural ability to identify issues and create solutions. 

• Ability to interact with senior internal and external stakeholders. 

• Attention to detail and process-minded, ability to work cross-functionally. 

• Naturally curious to interrogate and validate financial information. 

• Self-starter, highly motivated and able to work to their own initiative.  

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines through excellent project management skills. 

• Ability to explain financial information to non-financial people. 

• Excellent communication and organizational skills. 

• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office. 

The anticipated salary range for this position is ($59,000-$96,025). Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law. A range of medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, and/or other benefits also are available.
