What you’ll do
The Intern for the Engineering team in the US market will be a temporary role that will be assigned a special short-term project identified to bring value to the Engineering team that will effectively add value to Lightsource bp. This Project will showcase the talents of the Intern and provide learning opportunities to build interest in the industry and renewable energy.
The Engineering Intern shall work on a special project related to software and analytics tools in development for creating more efficient workstreams and decisions. The main objective of the Project shall be centered around making data-driven decisions guided by the gathering of relevant data into a centralized usable tool. The Engineering Intern will work with the Project and Operations team to collaborate on the needs and finalize the deliverable.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Establish weekly priorities to support project assignment in coordination with manager.
• Engage internal stakeholders as necessary to deliver tasks requiring cross-functional input.
• Provide data analysis using software tools such as PowerBI, etc
• Attend team meetings and provide updates to group on progress of assignments.
• Gather relevant data from sources to prepare Project analytics.
Who we’re looking for
Knowledge
• Currently enrolled or completing a degree in an Engineering, Science, or relevant field.
• Basic knowledge of solar PV systems.
• Knowledge of data analysis and statistical regressions.
• Knowledge of visual data representation and effective communication to stakeholders.
• Strong communication skill and ability to take initiative.
• Statistical analysis, including correlation and inferential statistics.

Internship Details
Pay rate: $20 per hour
Hours: 40 Hours per week
Dates of internship: June 2nd through August 22nd
Location: Lightsource bp Denver, Austin, or San Francisco office
