Commercial Card Product Manager (Hybrid/Remote) - MO - Kansas City - 1010 Grand Blvd

The Payments Product Group manages payment solutions for the Bank’s clients, including small businesses and corporations.

As the Commercial Card Product Manager, you will be a thought leader around the execution to expand and develop strategy to support UMB’s Commercial, Business Banking and Small Business card solutions.  Your primary focus will be Card payables solutions for all segments under Commercial Banking with input from stakeholders and cross-functional teams.  You will also engage in Supplier Enablement to increase customer spending for the commercial card programs, conduct market research and competitive analysis, define product features and functionality, and among many other critical activities.  This is a subset of the overall responsibilities which involves other multiple initiatives as assigned by Bank Product leadership.  This role is hybrid (Tue & Wed on-site) for candidates in the Kansas City metropolitan area and open to qualified remote candidates outside of the Kansas City area but only within the US.

How you’ll spend your time:

  • Assess clients’ and prospects' needs, technology trends, and major competitors in order to synthesize product requirements while utilizing market/client/industry research and analysis to develop and maintain a long-range product roadmap.
  • Assist in developing comprehensive business cases, including financial impact, for adding new products or changing existing products.
  • Prioritize initiatives to ensure that overall company objectives and goals are achieved.
  • Assist in developing Functional Requirements/Vision Documents that define product enhancements and development initiatives.
  • Manage the development of prototypes illustrating specific product enhancements and development initiatives.
  • Assist with Concept, Vision, and requirements definition documents, and sales and marketing tools.
  • Manage timelines and responsibilities for internal and external resources to launch products on time and within budget.
  • Engage in Supplier Enablement to increase customer spend by an outreach campaign based on vendor lists obtained from customers.
  • Educate and train (when applicable) other departments and teams on value/benefits of new and existing product.

We’re excited to talk with you if:

  • You have a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 5+ years of full lifecycle product development experience OR any combination of education and experience that would provide an equivalent background.
  • You have in-depth experience with product marketing or project management including product launches.
  • You have commercial card, prepaid, processor or association background.
  • You have Supplier Enablement experience.
  • You are goal-oriented with ability to not only conceptualize products but also manage and optimize them throughout their lifecycle.
  • You had success leading cross-functional teams and influencing various management levels.

Compensation Range:

Minimum: $83,200.00 - Maximum: $214,560.00
