Merkle is seeking an experienced Project Manager to help lead commerce services engagements.  This individual will lead projects ranging from new platform implementations, ongoing services and consulting engagements. 

This is a remote-friendly position.

  • Projects will focus on Commerce implementations and ongoing services.
  • Project Planning and Execution: Develop and execute project plans, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to the defined scope. Monitor progress and make adjustments as needed.​
  • Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with stakeholders, both internal and external, to confirm project objectives, scope, and requirements. Manage client relationships and ensure client satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.​
  • Team Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams, including designers, developers, marketers, and other project resources. Provide guidance, direction, and support to team members, ensuring effective collaboration and high-quality project deliverables.​
  • Resource Management: Allocate project resources effectively, ensuring that team members have the necessary capacity to complete their tasks. Monitor resource utilization and make adjustments as needed to optimize project efficiency.​
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Proactively manage risks throughout the project lifecycle to minimize their impact on project outcomes.​
  • Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring cost control. Monitor project profitability and take corrective actions when necessary.​
  • Communication and Reporting: Facilitate effective communication between project team members, stakeholders, and senior management. Provide regular project status updates and reports, highlighting key milestones, risks, and issues.​
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to best practices. Implement quality control processes to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction.​
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance project management efficiency and effectiveness. Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the project team.​
  • Documentation and Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, requirements, change requests, and other project-related artifacts. Ensure proper documentation of project decisions and outcomes.​
  • Any other reasonable or necessary activity required by management or leadership  ​

Qualifications:

  • Experience: A minimum of 8 years of experience as a Project Manager, with a focus on digital experience or commerce projects.​
  • Project Management Skills: Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and best practices. Proven ability to successfully manage complex projects from initiation to completion.​
  • Digital Experience Knowledge: In-depth understanding of digital technologies, trends, and best practices. Familiarity with user experience (UX) design, web and mobile development, content management systems (CMS), commerce applications and digital marketing.​
  • Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.​
  • Budget and Resource Management: Experience in managing project budgets, allocating resources, and ensuring project profitability.​
  • Problem-Solving: Proven ability to identify and overcome project-related challenges and risks. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.​
  • Stakeholder Management: Experience in managing client relationships, understanding client needs, and ensuring client satisfaction.​
  • Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban, and experience in applying them to digital projects.​
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and data-driven mindset, with the ability to gather and analyze project metrics and KPIs to drive continuous improvement.​
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or similar certifications are a plus.​
  • Ability to travel as needed

The anticipated salary range for this position is $68,000-$110,400. Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
