Job Summary

Security Developer will serve as a key member of the Security Development and Engineering team through the design and deployment of the Enterprise security event logging infrastructure supporting threat investigations and incident response alerting. The Engineer will work with the architecture and engineering teams to provision, document, and test a multi-component infrastructure. They will work closely with Operations teams in deploying the logging solutions, procedures, and run-books for troubleshooting and managing the health of the system. They will have a positive impact on the security organization, and shape the way how security event monitoring is provided across the Comcast Enterprise.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Responsible for design, implementation, and documentation of log monitoring, Extract Transform Load (ETL), and configuration managementĀ 

  • Performs deployment, testing, and validation of networking and system componentsĀ 

  • Recommends alterations and additions to existing designs to improve quality of productsĀ 

  • Works with operational teams to develop and improve monitoring solutions, plan and schedule maintenance, and implementing changesĀ 

  • Develop standards and procedures for managing, monitoring, and updating systems and applicationsĀ 

  • Communicates progress of work in progress, key initiatives, and walkthroughs on complex designs and architectureĀ 

  • Works under immediate supervision - Typically reports to a supervisor or managerĀ

Required Experience and SkillsĀ 

  • Bachelorā€™s degree and at least 3 years of experience in the field or in a related areaĀ 

  • Experience in deploying systems and applications, monitoring, ETL, and configuration managementĀ 

  • Strong skillset of developing data ingestion pipelines on cloud based ā€¦
