Collections Specialist I-Solar

Job Summary:

As a Collections Specialist I, you are the IGS brand champion to our internal and external customers supporting our Solar line of business. This is accomplished by educating on our Solar products, building customer connections, and providing exceptional customer experience with each interaction. The hours would be 9-6 or 10-7.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Approach customer interactions with a solutions-oriented mindset while demonstrating active listening and empathy.
  • Demonstrates full understanding of current IGS programs and processes; communicate clearly to customers in order to assist them in making an informed decision.
  • Navigate systems, procedures, and other resources to provide accurate and timely resolution to customer inquiries.
  • Provide follow up as needed on customer inquiries to ensure resolution satisfies our customers and meets all internal expectations.
  • Collaborate with immediate and extended teams through knowledge sharing and relationship building to provide an optimal customer resolution.   
  • Perform Collections specific tasks by partnering with customers to collect on outstanding balances through making and receiving phone calls. This involves educating customers on the product, negotiating payment plans, and making recommendations to resolve and prevent outstanding balances.
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned.

  • Ability to multitask effectively and adhere to a weekly set schedule.
  • Genuine desire to grow and learn, receptive to feedback as well as contribute positively to a team-oriented work environment.
  • Ability to empathize with customers and deescalate sensitive billing and service-related issues. 
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows, MS Office Suite, and Internet Explorer.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent. 
  • 2 years’ experience in a customer facing environment preferred.

Salary Range:

$35,940.00 - $53,910.00

*This range reflects base pay only. Incentive earnings, like commissions or bonuses, are not included.

This role is also eligible for an annual incentive plan based on company performance, as well as team or individual incentives.
