Position Description
Serco is seeking a CM Specialist to join our production team supporting Hardware Integration contracts with Navy’s Space and Warfare Systems Command producing Consolidated Afloat Network and Enterprise Services (CANES), Automated Digital Network System (ADNS), and various other system equipment racks. The CM Specialist shall support a 30-member team that works closely with the customer and other Serco teams to deliver quality systems and services NIWC Pacific and Atlantic.
In this role you will:
- Develop engineering documentation to support production efforts including manufacturing parts lists, assembly drawings, fabrication drawings and assembly procedures under direct supervision.
- Create Engineering Changes Notices for review and approval prior to implementation.
- Enter parts and BOMs into Costpoint MRP System from detailed procedures.
- Create and maintain production drawing books defining production build configurations.
- Validate Contract Material Lists (CML) from proposals against Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM).
- Analyze and develop material issuance plans to execute production tasking.
- Assist with resolving material shortages encountered by production personnel.
- Perform tasks with minimal supervision or from detailed procedures.
- Use Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) tools to generate reports and request material.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
- United States Citizenship
- A Bachelors Degree
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Configuration Management/Production Planning
- Ability to read assembly drawings, Bill Of Materials, Indentured Part Trees (>5000 line items), and Engineering Change Notices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High level of proficiency in MS Excel
- Experience and familiarity in a low volume/high mix production environment with direct experience in material tracking and inventory management
- Proven experience in communicating requirements to members of cross functional teams to manage the procurement generation, issuance, and tracking of production materials
- Experience with MRP systems (CMPro, SAP, Costpoint/Deltek) or other inventory management programs
- Ability to travel up to 10%

In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $85,032.41 to $141,720.69; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
