JOB TITLE: Cloud Solution Architect

LOCATION: Position eligible for 100% remote work. Buffalo, NY 14203

DUTIES: Provide technical leadership to teams responsible for architecting, solutioning, and maintaining the cloud technology framework; create data-driven workflows on Data Factory; support application automation initiatives with Azure / Google Cloud, focusing on the design of systems and services to create reusable patterns and frameworks; utilize DDL (Data Definition Language), DML (Data Manipulation Language), DCL (Data Control Language), TCL (Transaction Control Language), and DQL (Data Query Language) in SQL databases; develop applications using Python; use Hive, Pig, Spark, R and ML on Big Data platforms; design on-premises applications to cloud; build scalable machine learning pipelines using Databricks; work with open, partner, internal, and composite APIs; assist in solution development to ensure that new systems will fit the cloud enterprise environment; provide strategic direction to projects; develop computing strategy and oversee cloud computing architecture to reduce IT operating costs; provide efficient and secure accessibility to data and digital tools to bridge the gap between complex business problems and solutions in cloud; collaborate with stakeholders to provide cloud solution strategy; develop low level/high level design for cloud migration applications; and enable applications with cost effective, scalable, and efficient cloud solution.

REQUIREMENTS: Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, any Engineering, or a related technical field; plus five (5) years of experience creating data-driven workflows on Data Factory; supporting application automation initiatives with Azure Cloud; utilizing DDL (Data Definition Language), DML (Data Manipulation Language), DCL (Data Control Language), TCL (Transaction Control Language), and DQL (Data Query Language) in SQL databases; developing applications using Python; using Hive, Pig, Spark, R and ML on Big Data platforms; of which three (3) years includes building scalable machine learning pipelines using Databricks; supporting application automation initiatives with Google Cloud; and working with open, partner, internal, and composite APIs.

SALARY: $198,500 - $208,500 per year
