We are building a new model of primary care for women 65+ to solve long-standing problems: rushed appointments, long wait times, and care that's generalized rather than specialized towards women’s needs later in life such as post-menopausal care, bone density, weight management, and mental, social and emotional well-being.  

Our patient-centric Primary Care clinics are dispersed across Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN. We are thrilled to serve the Twin Cities metro in our clinics located in Highland Park (St. Paul), Crystal, and South Minneapolis and Rosedale, with our newest clinic in Eagan launching December 2024. About the Cloud Engineer Role:  

The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud-based solutions that support the organization’s healthcare technology infrastructure. The Cloud Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams including IT, product development, and clinical operations, to optimize cloud solutions that enhance the delivery of patient care.  

Location Requirements: 

While candidates located in Minnesota are strongly preferred, we welcome applications from individuals who are legally authorized to work in the United States. 

Essential Functions: 

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable multi cloud solutions to support Herself Health’s healthcare technology initiatives
• Work with leadership and stakeholders to assess business needs and translate them into cloud architecture and infrastructure solutions
• Implement best practices for cloud security, data integrity, and compliance with healthcare regulations (e.g. HIPAA)
• Manage and optimize cloud resources for performance, cost efficiency, and scalability
• Collaborate with system administrators to integrate cloud-based applications and services
• Maintain and monitor cloud environments to ensure system reliability and uptime
• Lead cloud migration initiatives, ensuring seamless transition and minimal disruption to business operations
• Conduct troubleshooting and performance tuning of cloud-based applications 

Must-have Qualifications and Skills: 

• 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering, cloud architecture, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud
• Strong knowledge of cloud security best practices, compliance, IAM, endpoint security, Incident response.  
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such a Terraform or CloudFormation
• Strong scripting skills (e.g. Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation deployment
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies
• Experience with Containerization & Orchestration
• Database, data backup and retention knowledge
• Understanding of networking concepts, including VPNs, firewalls, and load balancing
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment 

Nice-to-have Qualifications and Skills: 

• 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture within a healthcare related organization 
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred (or equivalent work experience). Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified Cloud Security Professional) are a plus but not required.
• Experience with healthcare-specific cloud solutions, such as Salesforce, HealthCloud  
• Knowledge of relevant frameworks (HiTrust, NIST)
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and healthcare interoperability standards
