What you will be doing:

This position will support the continued expansion and diversification of data and analytical assets for the Data, Technology, and Innovations team (DTI).

This position is responsible for programming algorithms so to build re-useable solutions (such as derivative tables, stored procedures, templates, custom applications), exploring and documenting learnings about data assets, developing programming methods or techniques to achieve new things, support the development of training and marketing materials of assets, supporting new initiatives (by way of prototype development, roll-out, preliminary execution, and upgrades), supporting efforts in code validation, and supporting efforts in organization of assets. This position may also take on additional projects outside their regular duties as appropriate.

This position functions internally to Premier and may act in collaboration with other business units such as the Applied Research team, Sales, Informatics IT, Database Administrators, and other stakeholders.

Work Experience:

Years of Applicable Experience - 0 or more years

Education:

High School Diploma or GED (Required)


 

Preferred Qualifications

Skills:

  • Application Building (emphasis on: R/RStudio or the Python Suite)

  • Graphical front-end development (emphasis on: RShiny, RMarkdown, PowerBI, Python)

  • Design, write, and document simple to moderately complex SQL programs and algorithms (including basic understanding of stored procedures; emphasis on Teradata, Azure)

Experience:

  • Healthcare Data/Analytics experience off a RDMS

  • SDLC experience/ Full Stack Development experience

  • Lean process methods

Education:

  • Progress towards achieving a Bachelor Degree in a core STEM field (ex. Mathematics or Computer Programming) with strong computer programming coursework

  • Master’s Degree in a core STEM field (ex. Mathematics or Computer Programming) with strong computer programming coursework

Working Conditions: Remote


 

Travel Requirements: Travel 1-20% within the US


 

Physical Demands: Sedentary: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves remaining stationary most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if movement is required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.


 

Premier’s compensation philosophy is to ensure that compensation is reasonable, equitable, and competitive in order to attract and retain talented and highly skilled employees. Premier’s internal salary range for this role is $43,000 - $79,000. Final salary is dependent upon several market factors including, but not limited to, departmental budgets, internal equity, education, unique skills/experience, and geographic location. Premier utilizes a wide-range salary structure to allow base salary flexibility within our ranges.
