Position Summary

The Forensic Clinical Trainer delivers education and training to forensic nursing within MultiCare Health System using curriculum which aligns with current best-practice recommendations and state guidelines. The incumbent supports improving the quality of care received by victims of violent crimes through direct and indirect patient care, professional and public education, development of standards and protocols, interdisciplinary collaboration, and research.

This position is funded by a Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) Training grant.

Responsibilities

  • Presents educational activities related to forensic nursing as developed by the Forensic Program Manager
  • Functions as a role model of victim centered care and professionalism; prepares nurses for forensic nursing care using high level of clinical expertise
  • Assists with managing the forensics budget and grants in collaboration with the MultiCare Grant Department and HRSA
  • Works collaboratively with state, local, and community stakeholders within the community to educate on forensics and violence prevention
  • Participates in long range planning, goal setting, program development, and ongoing curriculum evaluation
  • Schedules, tracks, and reports data and metrics related to the grant

Requirements

  • WA state (RN) license required
  • American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) certified Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner – Adult/Adolescent (SANE-A) or Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner – Pediatrics (SANE-P) required
  • Emergency department experience preferred

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $108,295.00 - $162,434.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
