Job Title: Clinical Research Associate
Position Overview:
The Clinical Research Educator role is to support the clinical liaison relationship during the design and execution of clinical studies for both domestic and international studies, and internal evaluations.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with team members to provide diabetes management input during the design of clinical studies such as study design, and inclusion/exclusion criteria.
Collaborate to provide study execution expertise for major study components such as schedule of assessments, device deficiencies, and adverse event reporting.
Liaise to create device training material for clinical sites and study participants.
Support device training for all site initiation visits.
Support the compilation of study-specific procedure manuals.
Maintain all technical and diabetes-related questions obtained during the conduct of the study.
Maintain a database for technical and diabetes-related questions that occur during the conduct of a study.
Support development of mitigation strategies, and alternative solutions to resolve issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Performs other duties as required.
Education and Experience:
Life sciences degree with 3+ years of progressive professional experience.
2+ years in clinical, industry, or research settings that specifically relate to the diabetes disease state and devices (i.e. insulin pumps, continuous glucose monitors etc.) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Direct experience in participating in the execution of clinical research studies
Must have analytical skills, be detail-oriented, and have good interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist
Skills/Competencies:
Proven skills with the ability to meet deadlines on multiple projects
Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision making
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills
Ability to establish relationships and manage communications with key clinical customers (e.g., investigators, site staff)
Ability to work positively through confrontation and/or conflicting ideas
Strict attention to detail
Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
Ability to work and excel within a fast-paced, dynamic, and continuously changing work environment

Additional Information:
