Position Summary

The Senior Clinical Research Coordinator is responsible for a variety of activities in support of clinical research studies. The Senior Clinical Research Coordinator is responsible for the implementation of clinical studies at all levels, including but not limited to:  study feasibility, IRB applications and related forms, data collection forms, patient screening and enrollment, data analysis, sponsor/IRB communications, verification of investigative procedures to accomplish research goals, and preparation of reports. The Senior Clinical Research Coordinator independently develops and implements research project procedures that meet research objectives and ensure compliance with all aspects of Institution, Federal Drug Administration (FDA) and sponsor regulations pertaining to clinical research in human subjects (e.g. investigator financial disclosure requirements of the FDA).

Work situations are varied and require strong organization, prioritization, data analysis, verbal and written communication skills, and use of discretion, good judgment, problem solving, decision-making and leadership. This position requires interaction with a wide variety of internal and external groups to include nursing staff, management, physicians and patients, outside organizations, research groups and service groups such as laboratories, pharmacy and radiology. The Senior Clinical Research Coordinator will often serve as the primary point of contact within a team of internal and external groups when completing study feasibility reviews and during the study start-up process.

Responsibilities

  • Bachelors’ degree required preferably in science, healthcare or other related fields. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirements
  • CPR required
  • Minimum four (4) years of clinical research experience within a healthcare setting
  • Clinical Research Coordinator professional certification required
  • Familiar with and comfortable with research methodology and the “scientific method” for conducting research projects
  • Employee must provide automobile for use in their work and the employee must be able to comply with MHS Policy on Vehicle Use, Employee Owned. Policy available on request

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $66,331.00 - $95,451.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education. If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
