The Clinical Publications Manager is responsible for managing publications, abstracts, and presentations for Varian clinical trials as well as serving as a key contributor to broader communications. This person will strive to improve visibility and transparency around clinical evidence generation supported by Varian more broadly (ie, investigator-initiated studies and research collaborations).

Job Description

  • Development and management of a communications plan for Varian-sponsored clinical trials and real-world evidence Manage preparation for key congresses, facilitating Medical Affairs Review Committee review of abstracts and presentations
  • Engage with Field Medical, Strategic Partnership Managers, and Collaborations Office to overcome challenges in communication channels and ensure effective communication with target audiences
  • Medical writing for key abstracts and manuscripts
  • Promotional Review Committee Support—particularly around marketing claims development
  • Ensure organizational visibility to research collaborations in conjunction with the Collaborations office and Medical Science Liaison managers
  • Collaborate across Medical Affairs to ensure timely and comprehensive organizational visibility to Clin Ops updates
  • Partner with Corporate Communications on Medical Affairs content through internal and external Varian platforms
  • Co-lead on organization and content for Medical Affairs website, facilitating broader visibility to clinical trials and evidence generation
  • Remote role with 10% travel requirements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field; 8+ years experience; preferably clinical or medical affairs related.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, medical writing experience.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office software (including Teams) essential.
  • Knowledge of national / regional regulations and industry standards regarding interactions with healthcare professionals.
  • Self-motivated, autonomous, accountability and ability to meet KPIs.
  • Wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways.

The base pay range for this position is

Min $104,600 - Max $188,400

The pay wage range shown is based on the job posting's primary location. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications, and location.
