Clinical Product Owner II

Job Summary:
The Clinical Product Owner II oversees the development of assigned Clinical Functional Area products from start to finish to ensure they meet stakeholders requirements. Works independently to provide technical and analytical support for key production-related activities for the Clinical Functional Area team.
Essential Functions:
- Analyze and prioritize product backlog, ensuring artifacts are relevant, actionable and adequately estimated
- Assists with development of cross functional relationship with key business partners to help improve working relationships and deliver key business initiatives
- Assist with the technical guidance, leadership, training, and development to internal resources
- Represent the department with business owners and vendors to facilitate production processes and issue resolution
- Support production-related business processes and drive operational improvements through root cause analysis and effective use of technology solutions
- Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing processes and systems, and participate in development of solutions to improve or further leverage these functions
- Provides ongoing analysis and interpretation of production-related statistics to identify issues and recommend operational improvements
- Ensure adherence to corporate change management documentation and communication for new and modifications of existing technology and processes
- Provide guidance to other team members on standards and processes
- Lead scrum ceremonies and meetings
- Assist with creating queries and dashboards that are needed by the Product Management team or Business leadership
- Perform any other job related instructions, as requested
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Product Management, Project Management, Business Analysis, or equivalent work experience is required
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in Product Management, Project or/an Program management or equivalent Product Owner experience is required
- A minimum of three (3) years of health care operations experience in insurance, managed care, or related industry is preferred
- Experience working with databases and vendors a plus
Competencies, Knowledge and Skills:
- Advanced experience troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities, able to solve complex problems
- Skill documenting business requirements for IT systems or applications
- In-depth knowledge of scrum and agile methodology
- Ability to work with large teams and a variety of people, including BAs, SAs, Testers, PMs, and leadership teams
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting and compliance requirements
- Demonstrated excellent analysis and collaboration skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Effective time management and prioritization skills
- Decision making and problem-solving skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Advanced Communication/relationship skills
- Confident execution of sprint planning/prioritization
- Ability to provide clear and concise directions
- Organizational skills – ability to keep calendars, emails and sprint backlog clean
Licensure and Certification:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
- Product Owner certification is preferred
- Six Sigma or other performance improvement experience is preferred
Working Conditions:
- General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time
Compensation Range:
$70,800.00 - $113,200.00CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level.
