Position Summary

As the Clinical Educator you will be responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive training resources, managing our Learning Management System (LMS), and developing both onboarding and ongoing training programs. This role demands someone with a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a passion for continuous improvement in clinical education.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Documentation & Resource Creation

    • Develop high-quality educational materials, including manuals, guides, e-learning modules, and instructional videos.

    • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to ensure content accuracy, relevance, and compliance with organizational standards.

  2. Resource Maintenance

    • Regularly review, update, and archive existing training materials to reflect current clinical practices, protocols, and regulations.

    • Maintain an organized repository of all educational resources, ensuring version control and easy accessibility.

  3. Quality and Provider Feedback

    • Gather, analyze, and implement feedback from learners, preceptors, and management to continually improve training materials.

    • Facilitate open communication channels for ongoing input on training effectiveness and user experience.

  4. LMS Management

    • Administer the Learning Management System, including course setup, enrollment, tracking, and reporting.

    • Troubleshoot technical issues and collaborate with IT or external vendors to resolve LMS-related challenges.

  5. Onboarding Training Development

    • Design and structure comprehensive onboarding programs for newly hired clinical staff, ensuring they receive targeted and up-to-date training.

    • Collaborate with leadership and department heads to integrate role-specific competencies and organizational policies into the onboarding curriculum.

  6. Onboarding Training Execution

    • Lead, facilitate, and coordinate onboarding sessions, both in-person and virtual.

    • Track new hires’ progress, address learning gaps, and provide ongoing support to ensure a smooth transition into their roles.

  7. Ongoing Training Strategy

    • Develop a long-term plan for continuous education and professional development tailored to various clinical roles.

    • Identify emerging trends, regulatory updates, and best practices to incorporate into ongoing training initiatives.

  8. Ongoing Training Execution

    • Implement recurring and refresher training programs to address knowledge gaps, reinforce key competencies, and update clinical teams on new protocols.

    • Coordinate with department leaders to schedule and monitor the completion of ongoing training requirements.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Experience:

    • Minimum of 2–3 years in clinical practice or a relevant healthcare role.

    • At least 1–2 years of experience in training, education, or instructional design (preferably in a clinical setting).

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency with Learning Management Systems and e-learning authoring tools..

    • Strong technical computer skills (Asana, Loom, Google Workspace, etc.).

  • Soft Skills:

    • Excellent presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal communication abilities.

    • Strong organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and deadlines.

    • Ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic environment, demonstrating innovative thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Licensure/Certification: Current RN or other clinical license strongly preferred; certifications in nursing education or healthcare education are a plus.
